Description

On the edge of the Cézallier, the Rocher de la Jaquette Nature Reserve brings together a wide variety of environments (cliffs, dry grasslands, moors, forests) and encourages the presence of many insect species (butterflies, locusts, grasshoppers, etc.).

On the sides of the valley of Rentières, at the edge of the volcanic plateau of the Cézallier, the nature reserve of La Jaquette gathers on several hectares a huge diversity of environments (cliffs, dry lawns, moors, forests) that favours the presence of numerous species of insects (butterflies, grasshoppers). Today, the nature reserve of La Jaquette is famous for its exceptional richness in insects, especially butterflies.
