The fortified village of Plauzat

Plauzat

Description

An elegant fountain in the Renaissance kind decorates the place of the church, which communicate with the courtyard of honour before the castle. It’s a vast construction of the 14th century adjoined by 4 towers (17th century). The old village, before fortified, spread at the west with its narrow little streets, its old dwellings and numerous houses decorated with superb balconies in wrought iron.

In Renaissance style, it adorns the square of the Romanesque church of Saint Pierre, next to the Town Hall. The latter is located in the former 17th century castle, whose courtyard preserves part of the 14th century fortifications. The old village fort can be seen in the enclosed alleys.
